Hush Puppy Mix

1 1/2 c. yellow corn meal
3/4 c. flour
3 tbsp. dried minced onion
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. ground red pepper

Combine all in vacuum seal, ziploc bag or canning jar.

Hush Puppies
You will need:
vegetable oil, heated to 350F in fryer or deep skillet

Combine the following
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 beaten egg
1 jar mix

Fry until golden brown, drain on papertowels.
